Cat Boarding That Feels Like a Staycation

At Becky’s Cat Services in Placerville, CA, we know that cats need more than food and water while you're away—they need a quiet space, a routine, and someone who actually understands how to care for them. Our cat-only boarding service is designed with your feline’s comfort in mind. No barking dogs. No busy kennels. Just calm, individualized care from people who know cats.

Why Leaving Cats Home Alone Isn’t Always Best

It’s tempting to think your cat will be fine while you're away. After all, they’re independent, right? But automatic feeders and litter robots can’t replace real human attention. They won’t notice if your cat stops eating. They can’t administer medication. And they definitely can’t give a nervous kitty the comfort of a soft voice or a reassuring hand.

Cats are creatures of habit. When their routine is thrown off by your absence, they may act out or shut down. Some overgroom. Some hide. Others stop using the litter box or go days without eating. If anything goes wrong while you're away, it could be days before anyone notices.

A Bad Boarding Experience Can Stress Cats Out

Not all boarding facilities are created equal. Many are designed with dogs in mind, then just "make room" for cats. Loud barking, strong smells, and high-energy environments can leave your cat overwhelmed or scared.

Even well-meaning pet sitters might miss the signs of stress or illness in cats. And without proper training, handling special needs cats or administering meds can be risky. If your cat has anxiety, medical needs, or a strong dislike for change, boarding them in a busy, non-cat-friendly space can lead to lasting stress—and possibly health issues.

Cat-Only Boarding With Personalized Attention

That’s why we created a boarding space just for cats. At Becky’s Cat Services, our boarding setup is calm, quiet, and completely dog-free. Each cat gets their own space, cozy bedding, clean litter, and plenty of attention. No shared cages, no group play, and no loud, unfamiliar animals nearby.

Optional quiet care for anxious cats

We do not board diabetic cats, but we’re happy to handle other medical needs—including administering meds—at no extra cost. All cats must have current rabies and feline distemper vaccinations. Proof is required before your cat can board with us.

Special Needs and Quarantine Boarding

Some cats require a little extra care, and we’re ready to provide it. If your cat has anxiety, immune sensitivities, or behavioral challenges, let us know. We’ll go over their needs before booking to ensure it’s a good fit.

We also have a separate, secure quarantine area for cats who require medical isolation. This service is only available with documentation and a consult from your veterinarian. Our goal is to create a low-stress, high-comfort environment—even for the cats that need a little extra help.

Every cat’s stay is personalized. We take the time to learn your cat’s routine, quirks, and preferences. Whether they want to hide in a cozy bed or get some chin scratches while they eat, we meet them where they are.

Trusted by Placerville Cat Parents

We’re cat people. That means we notice the small things—changes in appetite, different body language, or signs of stress. We don’t just feed your cat and shut the door. We check in with them. We observe them. And we adjust our care to match their energy and comfort level.

Because we only serve cats, our setup is calmer by design. No barking dogs. No chaotic traffic. Just soft lighting, peaceful enclosures, we play classical music,  and a team that truly gets cats. We’ve worked with seniors, spicy personalities, and scaredy-cats who’ve never been boarded before—and we’re proud of the trust we’ve built with both cats and their people.

If you’re worried about boarding because your cat has had a bad experience in the past, call us. We’ll talk through your concerns and help you decide if this is the right fit.
